A £10 "hold the date" retainer is required for all orders - this is non-refundable/transferable. (This will be deducted from your order total)
50% of the order total is to be paid 2 weeks prior to the pick up date agreed - this is non refundable/transferable (this is used to purchase supplies for your order so must be paid on time)
No alterations/changes to your order can be made once the 50% retainer has been paid.
For last minute orders (less than 14 days) the full balance will be required upfront- 75% of this retainer is non refundable/transferable.
Retainers can be paid in person with cash/ via bank transfer or through PayPal
If either of the above are not paid on time then the order will not be fulfilled and any retainers will be lost. I will send a reminder when payments are due.
The rest of the balance payment is required on the day of pick up by cash or prior to pick up if paying via bank transfer/PayPal
Your quote will be valid for 7 days only. After this it is subject to change.

Pick up times will be arranged and must be kept. If you cannot make your slot let us know asap as these times are worked out as per insurance regulations.
If you cancel your order before 2 weeks before your pick up date you will receive 75% of the retainer back- if you cancel within the 2 weeks of your collection you you will receive 25% of the retainer back due to supplies already being purchased.
Allergies
All cakes and cupcakes are made in a kitchen that uses nuts, gluten, dairy and many other allergens.
If you have a specific dietary requirement I can accommodate and alter the ingredients to cater for certain intolerances, but only with the understanding that cross contamination is likely.
This is due to the same equipment being used to produce all my products and the storage of ingredients is in the same area.
I cannot guarantee that my cakes are 100% allergen free (even if requested).
Please take this into consideration before placing your order as I cannot be held responsible for any allergic reactions.
For the above reasons, I cannot cater for severe allergies and food intolerances.

Picking Up of Orders
You will be given a time to pick up your order and a reminder will be sent also..
Please stick to this time slot- do not arrive earlier than your slot- You may be turned away.
If you cannot make this time please contact me as soon as possible and we can arrange another time slot for you.
If you are 2hrs late and no contact has been made and numerous attempts to contact you have been ignored, we do reserve the right to re-sell your cake and no refunds of deposits will be given.
Once picked up, the order is your responsibility. You will receive instructions on how to travel and store your cake. Please make sure you follow these instructions very carefully.
Cakes are very fragile and can easily be damaged. Any damage caused via travelling to or at the venue may be fixed for an additional fee. This is subject to availability of time slots and the amount of damage. The fee will vary depending on amount of damage.
Cancellations of Orders
In rare cases an order may be cancelled by Cool Cactus Cakery due to circumstances out of our control. If this happens a full refund will be given and you will also receive 10% off your next order with us (not deductible from wedding cakes).You will be made aware as early as possible if this situation arises.
If you yourself want to cancel your order please let us know as soon as possible so we can give your slot to someone else.
The £10 "hold the date" retainer cannot be returned or transferred to another date.
If you have made the 50% payment, this is also non-refundable or cannot be transferred to another order. This is because this payment is to cover the supplies which will have been purchased to complete your order.
If this is a last minute order and you have already paid the full balance, then you will receive 25% refund only.
If you cancel 24hours before you are to pick up you are required to pay the full balance as the cake will have been started.You can either pick the complete cake up or I reserve the right to re-sell the cake if you don't want it.
Complaints
If you have a complaint please contact me within 24hrs of picking up the order.
The order MUST be brought back to me within the 24hrs.
All of the order if possible -not less than 3 quarters!. I can then investigate your complaint and we can go from there.
If the cake is not brought back within the 24hr time period I cannot help as the cake will not be fresh.
Refunds or a % off your next order may be offered after a thorough investigation but not at the cost of the ingredients/materials.
By signing the disclaimer and taking the cake from the premises, it will be the understanding that the cake design has been approved and the cake will not be accepted back due to health and hygiene reasons. No refund will be offered in this instance.
No refunds will be given for design complaints. If a certain colour/decoration is to be used/ included please make this very clear when you place your order. I
f you do not like the cake once you come to pick it up, you do have the right to refuse the order. In these circumstances, the "hold the date" and 50% retainers are still non refundable/transferable, but the rest of the total will be refunded back to you (if it has been paid) & you will not be able to take the order away with you and we reserve the right to sell the cake on if we so wish.
By paying the £10 "Hold the Date" retainer you agree to all the above Terms & Conditions.
The T&C's are subject to be updated accordingly. You will be made aware of any changes.
*PAYPAL PAYMENTS -IMPORTANT
An additional 10% fee will be added onto all payments that are to be paid via PayPal due to the service charge they add on.
This extra 10% will not be deducted from your balance total as this is an extra fee.
This includes the hold the date/ 50% payment and the final balance payment and any other payments made.
